AI Memory & Pinned Facts
To keep your roleplay campaign cohesive and consistent over long adventures, AI Scenario uses a dual-channel memory system. This automatically separates permanent, absolute rules from dynamic memories that are only recalled when relevant.
You don't have to worry about the AI getting overwhelmed by having too many memory cards. Instead of trying to read everything all at once, our system smart-selects and retrieves only the specific memories that match what is happening in your active conversation.
1. The Two Pillars of Memory
AI Scenario's memory engine divides information into two specific categories: Pinned Facts and Memory Cards.
Pinned Facts
Permanent Rules. Absolute core facts, rules, or critical events that are always kept in the AI's mind. They serve as permanent guidelines that the AI will never forget.
Memory Cards
Dynamic Lore. Summarized story segments, location details, or character profiles. The AI automatically recalls and reads these cards only when they become relevant to your active scene.
2. How the AI Recalls Memories
When you send a message, the system instantly searches your memory cards to find the ones that fit the scene best:
The system reads your latest message and the context of the active scene to understand what you are discussing.
We compare the active scene to all your stored Memory Cards to find which ones cover the same concepts, even if you don't use the exact same words.
To keep your story moving forward, newer memories are given a slight boost over older, historical lore so the AI stays focused on recent events.
The system selects the best matching cards up to your plan's limit, ensuring the AI stays completely focused on the immediate story thread without getting distracted.
3. Memory Limits by Plan
Different membership tiers support varying amounts of active memory to fit your story's scale:
| Membership Tier | Max Pinned Facts | Max Active Memory Cards | Description & Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Tier | 8 facts | Up to 8 cards | Perfect for short stories; maintains concise context states. |
| Plus Tier | 14 facts | Up to 14 cards | Excellent for sprawling sagas with multiple chapters. |
| Pro Tier | 20 facts | Up to 20 cards | Unlimited scope; highly detailed worlds and complex relationship webs. |
4. Writing Great Memory Cards
To get the best memory accuracy for your stories, follow these simple writing tips:
- Focus Each Card: Dedicate a card to a single specific interaction, location, or event (e.g. "The Sake Test at Yamada's Door"). Avoid packing all world history into one mega-card.
- Use Clear Event Hooks: List key names and terms explicitly (e.g. "Kelly Ka-Chan, Yamada, Hiro"). This increases similarity scores when those characters reappear.
- Keep Summaries Direct: Focus on events and outcomes (e.g., "Axel learned about Saeko's double identity") rather than complex poetic descriptions.
